Additionally, he served as Executive Director of the Lower Extremity Surgery (ABLES) from 2021 to 2023. His certifications extend to diagnostic ultrasound and Hyperbaric Medicine.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Wittenberg has contributed to the field of neurochemistry through published research. His works include "Effect of Acute Stress on Hippocampal Glutamate Levels and Spectrin Proteolysis in Young and Aged Rats," published in the Journal of Neurochemistry in 1995, and "Adrenalectomy Attenuates Kainic Acid-Induced Spectrin Proteolysis and Heat Shock Protein 70 Induction in Hippocampus and Cortex," published in 1994.

Dr. Wittenberg’s specialties include wound care, limb salvage, foot and ankle surgery, reconstructive ankle surgery, skin grafts, fractures, bunion surgery, nerve pain and neuropathy, diabetic foot care, toenail conditions, orthotics, braces, and sports injuries like ankle sprains.
